Skyfall: NOT an energy movie

While Skyfall (2012) is many things—a fun movie, a Bond thriller, and a blockbuster—it is not an energy movie.

But, for me, it does raise the question of which Bond movies have energy or resource themes.  And, in spirit of the upcoming Oscars ceremony, for which there are rumors of Adele performing the Skyfall theme song live with all 6 Bond actors (Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Tim Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig) together on stage, I’ll try to dedicate a few upcoming posts to the topic of “Energy at the Movies: James Bond Edition” just for fun.

Two movies come to mind quickly: Quantum of Solace (2008) (about using water as a weapon), and Never Say Never Again (1983) (for which an oilfield is a primary terrorist target as a way to hold the world hostage).

Look for some upcoming posts on this topic and email to let me know which Bond movies should be included.
